Easter Weekend

Our weekend was jam-packed with Easter activities and family time. We had lots of fun with each of our activities and ended the weekend exhausted from all the fun.
Saturday morning we started the weekend of sugar with cinnamon rolls and headed to an egg hunt at Cora's school. We were running slightly late, but made it just in time for Cora to run off and get her six allotted eggs and one golden egg in less than 30 seconds. Afterwards, we hung out and she visited the easter bunny, did crafts, got her face painted, and ran around with some school friends.
After the school egg hunt, we headed to Sam's club to pick up some dirt and started setting up our raised beds. Weather-permitting, we'd love to get some of our plants outside soon so we wanted everything to be ready when we can. The girls loved digging around in the dirt and running around outside.

We had a quick bite to eat and walked over to our neighborhood egg hunt. Cora stopped to pick flowers  and hand them out to everyone that crossed our path. It was a little frustrating because we were running late, but the smiles on people's faces when she would offer them flowers was so sweet.

We made it to the hunt just in time (after a little jog) and we had a little disaster of a hunt. Ida was so uninterested in grabbing eggs and even swatted them away when we tried to hand them to her. It was surprising because she loves to 'practice' at home.

Cora went in the next age group and made it about 10 steps before she fell flat on her face. She was limping around trying not to cry as she grabbed what eggs were left. She got about five before she finally gave into her tears and was patched up by a nearby fireman.

We waited in line for some pictures with the Easter bunny and baby Ida was not interested in being anywhere close to the bunny. She's a little skeptical of everyone, so we have lots of grumpy-face pictures of this girl from the weekend... and lots of red-faced pictures of me from all the running around.

After our egg hunt, Ida napped while Cora and I dyed some eggs quickly. Cora seemed more interested in the egg eating instead of egg dyeing. We squeezed in some afternoon naps before we had some evening visits from some of our friends.
Easter Sunday, we hurried off to church and barely made it just in time for the Easter egg hunt. Ida was much more into the hunt than the previous day.  There were some older kids walking around helping out the little kids and it is the cutest!

Cora ran all around the graveyard to get as many eggs as possible. She did pretty well for herself and kept touching base with her cousins then would run off some more. She loved going to the Sunday school portion of church and doing whatever crafts/lessons they do there.

After church, we had brunch at my aunt and uncle's house and hung out for a good portion of the afternoon. Cora loves any time with her cousins, so she was in heaven the entire day. Ida is slowly warming up to everyone, so she spent a lot of time with me or Ben before crawling off and giving some cuddles to my family members. We spent the rest of the evening being lazy at home and getting lots of cuddles from the girls and watching Moana.

Happy Easter friends!
